Mignon Fogarty with Jim Norrena at booksigning

I’m thrilled to have Mignon Fogarty (better known as Grammar Girl) as one of TypoSuction’s many impressive clients. Her expertise in all things related to the English language makes her one of my go-to resources whenever I encounter pesky editorial issues that lack a clear answer.

Here we are meeting for the first time at one of her book-signings in San Francisco. (You can see for yourself just how excited I was to finally meet my inspiration for writing and editing.)

And even better, she recently told me it’s one of her favorite photos!

ACADEMIC / EDUCATION

[Top]

I’ve spent dozens of years working in editorial capacities within the marcomm offices at higher-education institutions. I gravitate toward academic settings because I enjoy the innate challenges of creating and editing materials for staff, faculty, students, and the administration.

CORPORATE & TECHNOLOGY

[Top]

As a web content manager, I rely on particular technical skills that allow me to address a website's front- and back end. I appreciate the unique troubleshooting required of content management systems (CMSs) and devising strategic solutions that fill the bill.

HEALTH & FITNESS

[Top]

The wellness community is an exciting and innovative market. I believe in working diligently to achieve the effects of sound and accurate messaging.

MARCOMM

[Top]

As a content strategist, I rely on technical and audience-messaging skills that allow me to work on the front- and backend of websites to deliver effective materials. I appreciate the unique troubleshooting required of content management systems (CMSs) and devising content solutions that fill the bill.

NONPROFIT

[Top]

Working with nonprofits not only satisfies my desire to give back to community but also engages me in terms of the purposes these organizations support. (Note: All nonprofits receive a 10 percent discount.)

PUBLICITY

[Top]

Working with publicity clients allows me to combine my editorial and marcomm skill sets in unique ways that have measurably successful results.

PUBLISHING

[Top]

I began my career in computer book publishing. I love the challenge of editing full-length books (and novellas), magazines, blogs, podcast transcripts, and much more.

REAL ESTATE

[Top]

Real estate, especially in the fast-paced San Francisco Bay Area, keeps me on my toes in terms of time-sensitive deadlines and a fast-paced client base.
